Ineligible for PIN: The spouse reported is under the age of 16 and/or has never filed a tax return to the IRS and/or has not provided a valid PIN.
Fix #1: Sign into your PriorTax account and update the PIN from your rejection status page if it was incorrect. Resubmit for filing.
Fix #2: If you cannot sign your return electronically via PIN, then you should follow the instructions on your rejection status page to complete Form 8879 or contact our customer support team to get started.
Fix #3: If your spouse does not have a valid PIN, you may need to paperfile this tax year in order to acquire one. You can print, sign, and mail your return from your PriorTax account.
